Connie Branom
Connie Branom, MA, MFT, LPC

Connie is the Founder and Director of New Hope Counseling Center. She has been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia since 2004. She and her husband Danny have been married for 40 years. Her passion is to help couples, individuals and families renew their strength and commitment to each other and live life more abundantly. She has successfully treated victims of trauma (childhood trauma, adult emotional and physical abuse and trauma). She believes that men and women are created in the Image of God and there is a need for an intimate connection with Him and often times deep emotional pain causes a disconnect from God and others.

Connie's desire is to help each client find hope in the midst of difficult times and pull through adversity as a stronger, more complete person. She focuses on the strengths of each client to highlight strategies for growth and success. Connie views therapy as a way to facilitate change, but ultimately change comes from within the client. Connie's commitment is to meet clients where they are and to help motivate them to achieve their ultimate life goals.

Barbara Jarratt
Barbara Jarratt, MA, LPC

Barbara believes that each person’s spiritual, emotion, and physical qualities connect in such a way that a problem in one area affects the others. Barbara believes in the sanctity of a personal relationship with God, but it is for the client to determine the extent of a spiritual approach to therapy. She spends the time to find the strengths the client already possesses, and then helps the client to begin to facilitate their own change.

Barbara has experience in the frustration and seeming hopelessness of a family dealing with a loved one in addiction. She knows the importance of getting help, not only for the addicted person, but for their family members as well. She also has experience counseling the wives, husband, or the couple walking through the challenges and pain of sex or porn addiction, or infidelity.

Barbara has been married to her husband Jess for 35 years, and they have raised 4 sons. She has a strong desire to help couples in the hard times of their relationship, and is a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator. She has also competed Gottman Level 1 training for couples counseling. She works with adults in many of life’s challenges such as anxiety, depression, or grief.

Dara Stockton, MA, LAMFT, LAPC
Dara Stockton, MA, LMFT, LPC, CSAT, CPTT

Dara's greatest satisfaction comes in assisting couples and individuals facing the most challenging and distressing situations. She is passionate about marriage and helping couples establish a strong foundation for emotional and physical intimacy. As a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator she conducts pre-marital counseling and can arm a couple with effective communication and conflict resolution skills to help lay a solid basis for a fulfilling marriage. However, Dara particularly enjoys working with couples confronting crises that require more than mere skill building for an enduring solution. Recovering from an affair or betrayal, maintaining and reestablishing intimacy, negotiating life transitions, and overcoming profound loss are all issues that can destroy a marriage without guided intervention. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), she assists couples in recovery on their journey to rebuild their marriage and reestablish sexual intimacy.

In individual therapy Dara assists those in a variety of life stages who have experienced loss, abuse, trauma, or relational problems. She has received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to enhance her skills in working with clients striving to overcome the effects of trauma including those resulting from sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Dara specifically has training as a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) and a special area of interest is her work with partners of sex addicts or those with compulsive sexual behavior.

When clients are open to adding the element of spirituality to their therapy, Dara welcomes this as a powerful adjunct and is ready to assist them in their pursuit of knowing the almighty God. She has personally discovered that healing, restoration, and growth can result from encountering life's most disparaging challenges, and she considers it a privilege to support her clients as they discover this statement to be true in their own lives.

To schedule an appointment, please call Dara at (770) 617-5145 or email her at dara.stockton@comcast.net.
